Terms of use
These terms apply to Explain It (https://explain.wordpartygames.com), which is run by the Explain It team. By using the game you agree to them.
The service
Explain It is free. We may change it, pause it or stop it at any time, and online rooms may be deleted as described in the privacy policy.
Playing fairly
When you use Explain It, please do not:
- enter nicknames, team names or words that are offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening, or that reveal personal information about someone else;
- pretend to be someone else;
- try to disrupt the game for others, overload the server, get around its limits, or access rooms you were not invited to;
- copy the site's content or word lists automatically, or use them in another product without permission.
The host of a room can remove players. We may delete rooms or block access that breaks these rules.
What you enter
You are responsible for the nicknames, team names and words you enter. They are shown only to the people in your room, and are deleted as described in the privacy policy.
Ownership
The game, its design and its word lists belong to the Explain It team. Open-source components are used under their own licenses, which are listed on the licenses page.
Explain It is an independent game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the publisher of any commercial board game.
No warranty
The game is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it working, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
Liability
As far as the law allows, the Explain It team is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Israel have jurisdiction. This does not take away mandatory consumer protections you may have where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
